United Egg Producers (UEP) had an excellent meeting on May 18 with Scott Pruitt, Administrator of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Representing UEP were members Ron Truex, Steve George, Glenn Hickman and Joe Miller, along with UEP staff Chad Gregory and David Inall, and consultant Tom Hebert. The meeting purpose was two-fold. First, UEP wanted to meet Administrator Pruitt and thank him for efforts to help reduce unnecessary environmental regulatory burden, particularly noting his work on the WOTUS rule. Second, it was an opportunity to share the personal sense of what the CERCLA-EPCRA reporting requirements will mean for farmers, their businesses and families, and it provided a chance to request his help.
