Tony Cobarrubia worked at Rainbow Farms/Valley Fresh Foods, Inc. for over 40 years, retiring as president.  He was a member of UEP and the Pacific Egg & Poultry Association (PEPA), serving as President in 1984. Donations in memory of Tony may be made to Modesto Junior College, Modesto, CA, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Poultry Scholarship Department) or the Tony Cobarrubia Scholarship Endowment at the Western Poultry Scholarship and Research Foundation, 1521 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Emanuel Puglisi, founder, owner and operator of Puglisi Egg Farms, died on August 14. After World War II Puglisi settled in Howell, New Jersey and began producing eggs. He erected the first high-rise poultry building in America and hosted people throughout the world to see his innovative techniques.  Puglisi was also a UEP member, president of the New Jersey Poultry Products Council and a golden egg recipient. Today his three sons carry on the business along with four grandchildren.
