Government Relations

United Egg Producers provides a unified voice for egg farmers regarding legislative and regulatory issues impacting egg production.

Cooperation for a Unified Voice

A diverse and evolving set of issues and concerns can impact the ability of egg farms to produce affordable, safe and wholesome eggs in a sustainable manner. By working together to address these issues, the collective voice of egg farmers can be heard.

Agriculture and food production compete with many other interests on Capitol Hill. Egg farmers strengthen their voice through cooperation with other poultry, livestock, agriculture and food groups on issues of common interest. Farmers impacted can be more effective by working together.

Leadership by Egg Farmers

UEP farmer-members demonstrate leadership as they evaluate current issues, determine a unified position and proactively advance conversations. As appropriate, egg farmers are involved with setting policy, testifying in Washington D.C. and visiting with executive agencies, federal and state legislators, and other elected officials.
