USDA AMS Sanitation Update Webinar

November 21, 2019

Tuesday, December 10, 1:30 to 3:30 pm EST
Plants with USDA grading will receive registration details next week

UEP and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association will be hosting a webinar to cover the USDA Agriculture Marketing Services (AMS) sanitation requirements and changes to the pre-operational sanitation report that will go into effect January 1, 2020. During the UEP Food Safety Committee Meeting in October, Jeffery Hendricks with AMS gave a brief overview of the changes to the form and expectation during pre-operational checks. The webinar will provide comprehensive information about this topic.

UEP has been working closely with the shell egg team at AMS to bring this important information to shell egg plants that pack eggs under the AMS grade shield. Key employees and supervisors in processing and sanitation should attend this webinar to hear firsthand about the expectations of the agency. Plants with USDA grading will receive an official announcement next week with registration details. The webinar will be held from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. on December 10.

UEP and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association thank USDA AMS for their participation in the webinar and outreach to the egg industry. Please contact Oscar Garrison (ogarrison@unitedegg.com) with questions.
