Last week, the House voted 361-61 to pass H.R. 6157. The $855.1 billion minibus includes funding for the Department of Defense and Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Act. In addition, the legislation includes a continuing resolution through December 7 for any appropriations bill not enacted, including the Department of Agriculture.

The President signed the bill into law on Friday, September 28, beating the shutdown deadline by three days. Despite reservations about the lack of border wall funding, the President pledged that he would sign the bill just before the House vote.
