Highlights and takeaways from the fourth Annual AEB-UEP Joint Conference

Nearly 500 American Egg Board (AEB) members, UEP and UEA members and industry stakeholders met at the fourth Annual Executive Conference, themed “Stronger By The Dozen”, the week of October 13th in Louisville, KY. UEP President and CEO Chad Gregory and AEB President and CEO Emily Metz kicked off the joint general session, highlighting egg industry and organizational accomplishments from 2025.

Special guests Raechel Van Buskirk and Alexi Wellman from Deviled Egg Co.® cracked open the first session of the joint programming by sharing their business experiences from the popular TV show, Shark Tank. Representatives from Giant Eagle, Armanino Foods and Hormel Foods then shared their perspectives on consumer trends and how trends influence business strategies.

During the Protecting America’s Egg Supply: The Plan for HPAI Vaccination in Layers session, members of the HPAI Working Group shared updates on the potential use of HPAI vaccination in layers and held a great conversation with members of the audience.

After a market outlook on feed ingredients, Dr. Brian McCluskey of Lonestar Epi Consulting wrapped up the day by sharing how epidemiological research is leading the way for improved HPAI control measures.

Wednesday’s joint session began with an engaging discussion with USDA representatives about current HPAI prevention, from biosecurity assessments to an HPAI vaccination plan.

Matthew Emerzian, founder and CEO of Every Monday Matters, then shared his powerful story and helped attendees understand how much and why they matter.

Afterward, UEP held a town hall to discuss regulatory challenges and opportunities and the UEP Certified Cage-Free campaign. AEB’s town hall followed with the announcement of the Stronger By The Dozen campaign for 2026, sharing how AEB is driving demand for eggs through innovation and the rollout of Incredible Farmer, a support center designed to directly connect egg farmers with the support and resources they need for success.
