The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) recently hosted a HPAI Impact & Insights Forum on October 29-30 in Arlington, Virginia. The event brought together industry professionals, researchers, and stakeholders across the barnyard to assess the ongoing situation surrounding HPAI and its effects on the domestic and international poultry sectors.

Key discussions centered around the latest epidemiological trends, biosecurity measures, and virus management strategies. The forum also provided valuable insights from producers on their experiences dealing with the disease, highlighting the challenges faced by poultry and dairy farmers alike. Numerous members of UEP staff, consultants, and member representatives attended and provided critical insights into the ongoing situation.

In addition to health and safety concerns, the event explored communication strategies for effectively conveying critical information to stakeholders and the broader economic and logistical impacts of HPAI on the agricultural industry.
